Stephanie's Bio
Stephanie is a New York and Los Angeles based singer-actress.
She first found an aptitude for performing in her sixth-grade class production
of Oliver! for which she sang with a self-taught cockney accent in the
role of Nancy. She was urged by her junior high choir director, Marylou Dunn,
that she should be taking private voice lessons, prompting Stephanie and her
parents to think maybe there was real talent there. Stephanie performed in many
local theatre groups and was thrilled to be in her first professional production
of Phantom with Fullerton Civic Light Opera when she was 16.
In college Stephanie performed mostly
with the Chapman University Choir and sang in pageants, competing for the
title of Miss California and scholarships. In 2001 she realized her goal,
and was named Miss California 2001. She was awarded $27,000 in scholarships
which she used for a Masters at Chapman. After a year of paying gigs as Miss
CA, she decided to return to performing professionally, appearing with
TIBBIE'S American Cabaret, and starring at the Elizabeth Howard Curtain Call
Dinner Theatre in the Sound of Music (Maria) and Phantom
(this time as Christine).
With school finished, she decided to
get out and see the world, and took a job as the lead singer for Jean Ann
Ryan Productions on the Silversea cruise line. What a fortuitous decision,
for 3 weeks after joining the ship, she met her future husband, Michael.
She has since worked for Oceania and Regent
Seven Seas cruises as a Guest Entertainer, performing her original cabaret,
Broadway favorites from Stage to Screen, as well as a classical
concert with piano. Since moving to New York City in 2006, Stephanie has
been performing around the country and continues to appear on the ships. She
received the 2007 Andy Anselmo Achievement Award.
